Habitat description

Standing waters, but possibly also rivers, in open areas in forest or shaded by gallery forest. Usually with coarse detritus, probably especially pools in stream beds, often with blackwater and emergent vegetation. Recorded at around 400 m above sea level, but possibly down to sea level.

confirmed: Angola; Democratic Republic of the Congo; Gabon; Zambia
