Type locality: Meru, Kenya

Diagnosis

Male is closest to A. aethiopica by (a) labrum for half or more pale; (b) mesepisternum with transverse pale streak bordering antealar sinus; (c) Abd usually pruinose with maturity. However, differs by (1) being restricted to South Sudan, Kenya, Uganda and N Tanzania; (2) metallic area on frons rounded in dorsal view, rather than with straight anterior border. Habitat description

Streams shaded by forest, but sometimes in clearings. Often faster sections (rapids, falls) with rocks. From 1200 to 2900 m above sea level, but possibly up to 3500.

confirmed: Kenya; South Sudan; Tanzania; Uganda
