Type locality: Inongo, DRC
Diagnosis
Male is similar to many other species by (a) larger size, Hw 30-42 mm; (b) thorax with 3 pale stripes on each side; (c) dorsum of S10 with peak bearing 1 cone; (d) cerci and epiproct are both dark. However, differs by (1) border of hamule strongly sinuous; (2) S10 with small tooth on posterior side of base of peak; (4) cerci widened before tip, but tip itself pointed, cerci thus appear truncate (dorsal view). Habitat description
Streams and possibly rivers in open areas in forest. Often with blackwater, coarse detritus and a sandy bottom. Inferred to occur from 200 to 1400 m above sea level.
