Diagnosis

The only species currently recognised in this genus. Please refer to the genus diagnosis and introduction for more information.

Habitat description

Mostly headwaters, but also larger streams, shaded by forest. Probably especially faster sections with rocks and a gravelly and/or sandy bottom. From 0 to 1800 m above sea level.

confirmed: Malawi; Mozambique; Tanzania
