Habitat description
Mostly streams, but also headwaters and possibly rivers, in open landscapes, open areas in forest or shaded by gallery forest. Often with a sandy and/or soft (like muddy) bottom and probably emergent vegetation and/or submerged roots. From 700 to 1900 m above sea level.
